Declarative filters

Declarative plugin manifests are data, not scripts

The inspected plugin loader accepts pure JSON declarations. Plugin API v1 maps per-layer parameters onto existing brightness, contrast, saturation, blur, grayscale, sepia and invert primitives. There is no JavaScript or executable plugin runtime in this contract. Only use this workflow in a build that contains the declarative plugin loader. For that loader on Windows, the documented folder is %APPDATA%\com.nekophoto.app\plugins. Create it if needed, copy only a reviewed manifest named exactly after its id (for example gentle-contrast.json), and restart the app. Do not copy .js files or executable binaries. A plugin id must be a lowercase hyphenated slug. Its ops must use per-layer scope and must not collide with built-in ids. Unknown fields, external references and invalid parameter/effect bindings are rejected. A manifest may be at most 256 KiB. The original Gentle Contrast declaration starts with amount zero, a neutral effect. The portal validates against the inspected source contract; that validation is not proof that your installed build includes the loader. Check your installed build before using it.
