Is Neko Photo free?
Yes. Neko Photo is in early access (alpha), and everything currently offered is free to use. Paid options may be introduced in the future; nothing will be charged unless you choose to buy something whose price and terms were shown to you first. See the Terms of Use.
What does early access mean?
Neko Photo is alpha software. Every release so far is an alpha build: features may change, contain bugs or be withdrawn, and updates can be required. Keep backups of important photos, and send feedback when something breaks.
Do I need to upload my photos?
No. Photo editing happens locally on your device. Optional sign-in, license sync, feedback and update checks use the network.
Is it for cosplay images only?
No. You can use the photo-editing tools for portraits, landscapes, cosplay and your own creative work.
What is in Neko Photo 0.1 Alpha?
Neko Photo 0.1 Alpha is a native Windows app with a GPU rendering engine, organised into five steps: Browse, Develop, Retouch, Studio and Design. It includes pixel selections, Cat's Search, a brush engine, layer folders, 16 and 32-bit editing, Free Transform and Design Templates. See the changelog.
Which platforms can I use?
The current download supports Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. macOS is planned, but no macOS download is available yet.
